Know the goal in Declaration Practice

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Use another round to revisit a decision. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account.

A focus for your next round

For a calm first round, focus on one decision. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

What counts as success

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. Begin with the objective.

From the start of a round

  1. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown.
  2. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence.
  3. Study the complete hand before answering. Choose Valid or Not valid.
  4. Read the explanation after submitting. Each question accepts one submitted answer.
  5. Continue to the tenth question for a session score; start another session for a new selection.

Getting comfortable with the controls

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Take a moment to read the table.

Put the rules into context

Example hand: Q♣ J♥ A♣ 3♠ 9♥ 2♣ 4♠ 10♣ 6♠ K♦ A♦ A♦ 7♠. Wild rank 8. No full grouping meets the two-sequence and pure-sequence requirement. The penalty for this hand is 80 points. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

One detail worth checking

A clear plan starts with the current position. Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Questions that come up during play

What is the aim?

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Look at the complete hand before deciding. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

How do I use the controls?

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Before making a move, check the cards in view. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Which format is available?

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account. Before making a move, check the cards in view. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

What should I check before a move?

Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Can you give an example?

One pure run, another joker-assisted run and two complete sets can cover a valid 13-card hand. Work at your own pace. Use another round to revisit a decision.

How many questions are available?

This exercise contains 500 stored questions. A session selects ten without repeating within that session. Begin with the objective. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Can I change a submitted answer?

No. Read the explanation, then continue. Start another session to practise again. A clear plan starts with the current position. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Are the answers checked against the rules?

All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Keep the active rule in mind. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Will I always see new cards?

No. The bank is finite, so another session may include a previously played question. A clear plan starts with the current position. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

What does the score measure?

The score is the number of correct answers in this ten-question session. It is not a skill certificate or a prediction of match results. Look at the complete hand before deciding. Check the relevant controls before continuing.
